XP [Chi-Roh] · can often be found in Church architecture and even on vestments or sacred vessels. They are the first two letters of the Greek word for Christ (Χριστοσ). Typically, the two letters are placed over each other as ☧. Like the fish symbol, it has featured since the early Church.

X-mas · features in secular representation of commercial Christmas. Ironically, it is both historically and etymologically deeply rooted in Christianity. The -X- stands for Christ as in the ☧ (Chi-Roh) symbol. In response to those who say “Keep the Christ in Christmas”, I say “keep the Χριστοσ in X-Mas.”
